The Dark Lands
The main area of the setting. Inhospitable, to put it mildly. The light doesn’t seem to shine on it nearly as much as it should, despite their being no cloud coverage or the like. There is no obvious reason for this, but the land doesn’t know the concept of a sun. Some scholars have heard accounts of a great golden orb that brings life to the Bowl of Creation, but light does not work like that in the Dark Lands. The place simply cycles between near total darkness, and grey, muggy, sickly light.
The area holds a combination of desert-like area and mountains, with the rare sickly woods near the edges of mountains or borders. There are a few cities of importance, running to a northern sea that seems to go on forever, as well as a few towns based off of mining and wood cutting near the edges.
